Glow Bowling

The boys love to go eat at the Bowling Alley. We usually sit at a table where they can watch everyone bowl. Last night Craig and I decided to take the boys bowling. We told the boys we were going to go eat and then bowl. Turner did not want to eat- he wanted to get on with the bowling!! After the food came, he was okay with waiting. When we let them loose, Turner immediately went to the rows of bowling balls and started taking them off the racks. I didn't know the stinker could lift them so well!! Garrett was going for the video games, in particular a driving game with a steering wheel! Once we got everything organized, the boys had a great time rolling their bowling balls down the lane. We had them sit down and push the balls with a little help from Mom or Dad. Turner climbed on everything and was always trying to take the balls off the rack. Garrett wanted to go and visit the other people. He made friends with a girl next to us. Everytime he saw her, he wanted to give her knuckles. As we were getting ready to go, Garrett went over and sat next to her and hung out while Craig and I got our shoes on. It was too cute! They are definitely ready to go again, but Craig and I decided we are not going again without some help! Either that, or we won't try to bowl. It was too hard to keep the boys out of trouble and still play the game ourselves.

Stomach Bug X 2

Today has been a fun day at our house. Turner woke up with a stomach bug, and Garrett was only a couple hours behind him. At one point I had Turner puking in my lap while Craig had Garrett puking in his lap and all I could do was laugh at the scene. It was all I could do as I looked at my poor babies. By this evening they were feeling better. No more pukes, just tired.

Life at our house has been fun, as always. The boys are just so much fun to watch and be around. They are talking up a storm and can be very entertaining. Garrett loves to make a mess and will do so with anything- food, toys, clean and folded laundry. You won't see many laundry baskets with folded laundry in them at my house. They are put in Craig and I's room or put up almost immediately, otherwise I have to fold them again. Garrett also loves to share his 'food.' He shares his sippy cup, food, and food he cooks with everything. He gave his bouncy horse an apple yesterday, and is more than willing to let all the animals, stuffed and real, have a sip of milk. He likes to cook something and give everyone of taste of his creation! He also is very good at saying good bye. When going to bed he has to say good night to all the things he has enjoyed throughout the day- Bye bike, bye dirt, bye fish, bye chair, bye car, etc. Turner's speech is so clear, I can't believe how much we can understand him. He is requesting songs now. His favorite is Itsy, Bitsy Spider. He will say, "Sing Itty Pider." Sometimes he says, "Rock and sing." This is usually at bedtime when he wants to be rocked. He always, always has his favorite little football in his arm. Sometimes he has to make a hard decision between holding his football, blanket, and cup. It's a lot for a little guy to juggle. I am trying to teach Turner to say, "Catch, Mommy," before he throws his football to me. Usually, the recipient of his throw is not paying attention and gets beaned in the head. Hopefully, we will get that whole "Catch" thing down soon and Turner will provide a warning before he launches the ball. He really does have pretty good aim for an almost 2 year old. Some of my other favorite words of Turner's are meatmopes (meatloaf), Funny Garrett (what he says when something is funny, even if Garrett has nothing to do with it), pig-e-let (Piglet with an extra syllable), Spook-uh-ly (the name of our cat, Spookly) Ligh Ceem (Lightning McQueen- sounds more like ice cream) and today he said mice instead of ice. Garrett has lots of words that sound nothing like what they are. He wanted a neenee today. Any guesses what that is? Banana. Blanket is more like ana. Cookie is pretty easy- kiecoo. He has lots of words, but I usually don't know what they mean since they sound nothing like the actual word. He eventually gets them figured out, though. They are both just growing up so fast. I wish time would slow down a bit so I can enjoy it more.
